Intelligence

Support today, autonomy tomorrow. Agentic AI, computer vision, and experts in direct contact: a solution designed to support and document operational activities in the field, across any sector or context.

Field Intelligence

The context

Supporting technicians where it matters: in the field. Maintaining industrial plants calls for ongoing support from technicians during on-site work, to reduce errors, shorten diagnosis times, and simplify operational complexities. Maintenance activities, often carried out in critical environments, demand advanced technical skills, ongoing reference to regulations, and significant effort to ensure documentation and compliance.

Our goal: to make every intervention faster, more precise, and more consistent, without disrupting work in the field, and to expand our technical expertise.

The solution

Field Intelligence is the solution developed by Techstar, built on the Techstar Core platform, which integrates conversational AI and Computer Vision. Designed to support technicians at every stage of the process, from the initial diagnosis to finalising the documentation. Field technicians can access the system via industrial headsets, smart glasses, tablets, or smartphones, even in areas with limited connectivity. They describe the problem in natural language, hands-free, and frame the component to receive a contextualised guided procedure based on certified technical manuals and the service history.

At the heart of the platform is real-time guided diagnostics: the AI assistant analyses the technician’s description, identifies fault patterns, and proposes a step-by-step verification sequence. Visual component recognition completes the diagnosis: the Vision System identifies components, models, and wear conditions, providing the technician with the relevant technical documentation.

In noisy environments and with hands full, hands-free voice support lets technicians interact with the platform using their voice, without interrupting their physical tasks. Finally, the system automatically generates compliant documentation: measurements, photographs, and notes are compiled into a structured report that supervisors and managers can access in real time via the company’s systems.

A tangible impact on maintenance operations. In the first six months of use in production, adopting the platform delivered measurable results in terms of intervention speed, documentation quality, and team skill development. Interventions became faster and more predictable: reduced diagnosis times allowed the team to increase its operational capacity without adding staff, with more precise and reliable intervention planning.

The accelerated growth of less experienced technicians has enabled those with less than two years of experience to achieve levels of operational autonomy comparable to their more experienced colleagues in significantly less time, thereby reducing the supervision burden. With compliance and risk under control, the documentation of interventions has become an automatic and contextual process, eliminating gaps and reducing audit risk. Meanwhile, standardising procedures reduces variability among operators, which in turn improves safety and ensures more consistent results.

Greater operational efficiency, with safer and more traceable interventions, and a team that grows faster thanks to tools that amplify technical expertise.
