Your data will be processed in accordance with the applicable Italian data protection legislation (the “National Legislation”) and EU Regulation 679/2016 – General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) (hereinafter, the National Legislation and the GDPR are collectively referred to as the “Applicable Legislation”). We recognise the importance of protecting personal data and consider its safeguarding a key objective of our business.

Data collection methods
Our company collects personal data about you directly from you when you interact with the Site. You may also provide us with your personal data when requesting information, during negotiations, when entering into or executing contracts, and when subscribing to or receiving services, regardless of their nature or designation.
Purpose, legal basis, and whether processing is mandatory or optional
Techstar will process Personal Data provided through the Site for the following purposes:
- purposes related to the performance of a contract to which the user is a party or to the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the user’s request (e.g., requests for contact via email or form, responses to queries, quotes, etc.);

The legal basis for processing Personal Data for the purposes outlined in point a) is the provision of a service or the response to a request that does not require the user’s consent under Applicable Law. The purpose outlined in point b) does not involve the processing of Personal Data, whereas the purposes outlined in points c) and d) require processing to comply with a legal obligation to which Techstar is subject, or to exercise its right of defence in court. Providing Personal Data for the purposes listed above is optional, but failure to do so may prevent us from responding to a request, providing the proposed services, or fulfilling contractual obligations. This could also impede compliance with regulatory obligations, such as accounting, tax, and administrative requirements, to which Techstar may be subject.
How we process your data
Your data is processed by personnel specifically appointed by the Data Controller, based on their role within the company. This processing may be done on paper, magnetic media, electronically, or via telematic means, and is always carried out using tools that ensure its security and confidentiality. Your data is primarily processed on our company premises. We ensure that our service providers fully comply with the security standards required by the GDPR. Your data will not be transferred to countries outside the EU that have not been deemed “adequate” by the relevant authorities (“the Commission”), and therefore do not guarantee sufficient levels of security in handling your data.
Recipients
The personal data of users who request information (such as answers to questions or quotes) is used solely to provide the requested service. It is only shared with third parties when necessary to fulfil the request (for example, when sending documents or materials by courier), when required by law, or in the event of legal proceedings.
In other words, Personal Data may be shared for the purposes outlined above with:
- parties necessary for the provision of the requested services;
- individuals authorised by Techstar to process Personal Data who have committed to confidentiality or are subject to an appropriate legal obligation of confidentiality (e.g., Techstar employees and contractors);

The processing of data related to the management of this website’s web services is carried out by Techstar srl’s technical staff or by external parties specifically appointed as Techstar’s data processors.
Duration of treatment
Unless otherwise required by Italian or EU law, which may impose a legally defined retention period, your data will be kept for the time strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and in any case for a maximum period of 1 (one) year, after which it will be deleted from all our systems.
Your rights
- Please note that you can, at any time:
- access your data to obtain information regarding the processing (Article 15);
- correct inaccurate data or request that incomplete data be supplemented (Article 16);
- erase your personal data (Article 17);
- restrict the use of data in the cases referred to in Article 18;
- request that a document be produced for you, including in digital format, containing your data for the purposes of portability (Article 20);
- withdraw consent to specific processing.
Such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given prior to the withdrawal; - submit a complaint to the competent authorities;
- Regarding your right to object, we inform you that you have the right to object to the use of your personal data in the cases outlined in Article 21, and in particular:
- object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you pursuant to Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR. In this case, the Company will refrain from further processing the personal data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims;
- If the processing is for marketing purposes, you may object to it at any time, including profiling carried out for this purpose.
- With regard to decision-making processes carried out by automated means, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you.
